Translation
Language is strange.
— Ursula K. Le Guin
I am a translator of Korean and English, with my translations including but not limited to academic, literary, and legal texts within the scope of anthropology and science and technology studies (STS).
My previous academic translations include texts published in The Sociological Review, the Stanford Journal of Animal Law and Policy, and the Open Archive of the Social Sciences. I have also translated exhibition texts for museum institutions, magazines, and short novels. One of my recent translation works is featured in The Gift, an immersive reading experience that animates contemporary astrophysics research.
For texts I believe would help expand meaningful discourse among Korean audiences, I offer discounted rates or provide translations free of charge. I am especially committed to working with scholars, writers, and artists whose work engages with aging, disability, and/or end-of-life care.
